GEORGETOWN. This single-room gallery presents a variety of local artists and specializes in black and white photography and works of contemporary realism (drawings, paintings and prints). Its goal is to help new collectors find works that easily fit into their homes and which aren't intimidating in subject matter or price. Each month, the exhibition changes and focuses on a single artist; openings are held on the third Friday. An annual, juried show features both national and international artists. Unpretentious and accessible. A second, larger gallery opened in early 2002 in nearby Bethesda, MD. Four times the size of its Georgetown sister, this second gallery focuses on established and well-known artists while Fraser Georgetown continues to offer the best in young and emerging artists.
